Today the first round of the II ATP Challenger Costa Cálida Region of Murcia has finished with magnificent matches on the courts of the Real Murcia Club de Tenis 1919, which continues with a high level organization.

On Tuesday, the favorite to win the singles category made his debut. Roberto Carballés faced another Spaniard, Pablo Llamas, and advanced to the next round with authority after winning 6-3 and 6-2. Rybakov will be his next opponent.

Two other Spaniards have advanced to the next round. Roberto Ortega-Olmedo defeated the Belgian Vanneste in three sets and Nicola Kuhn overcame Skatvo 6-2, 6-4. Neither Nicolás Sánchez, Mario Vilella, Javier Barranco nor Daniel Rincón were able to do the same, as they lost to Griekspoor, Cobolli, Furness and Rybakov himself, who will have to play against Carballés in the next round.

The rest of the qualifiers are: Shevchenko, Emilio Nava (who gave the surprise by eliminating Polmans fresh from qualifying), Collarini, Bourgue, Brancaccio, Zekic, Rosenkranz and Ritschard.

In the doubles, none of the Spanish pairs were able to advance to the next round. Pablo Martinez and Daniel Rincon lost to Galoppini and Passaro while Ortega-Olmedo and Carlos Sanchez lost to Denolly and Martineau. Alberto Barroso and Roberto Carballés, who will play from 11:00 am against the French, will be in the qualifiers.The rest of the matches are: Sriram Balaji/Ramanathan against Galoppini/Passaro, Brancaccio/Cobolli against Manafov/Matuszewski, and De Loore/Vanneste against De Jong/Stevens.
